Since the reopening of Washington state on June 30th, The United Group has been an active player in networking within the construction industry. We sent out members of our sales and marketing teams to several events including the ABC Golf Tournament, hosted Skanska for a plant tour and a Meet & Greet event at Clearview Nursery in partnership with The Blue Book.
The role of the marketing manager and sales team is to produce, and provide, materials and effective talking points that will help us win over clients and projects. We have been able to connect with more general contractors and subcontractors at these events than we’ve done since the beginning of Covid.
At the ABC Golf Tournament, sales and marketing went down to DuPont for a round of golf and to host a booth at the 13th hole. Special guests of the sales team included customers from Vestige Environmental and Skanska. Dozens of companies descended onto the greens to The United Group booth to see our literature, swag and the copies of The Blue Book featuring Nicki and Dan McAuliffe, owners of the group.
The rest of the networking events took place a little closer to home.
Members of the sustainability team at Skanska visited the Snohomish facility to see how The United Group is the beginning-to-end recycler. The tour showed how recyclable materials are hand sorted and the process by which we create our recycled organics like Clearview Red.
The next day, there were over 70 construction professionals in attendance at the Premier Member Meet & Greet, which featured tables from Cornerstone, Amazon Key Division (acting GC), Gaffney Construction and TWG Development. Folks had the ability to mingle and connect on the Clearview Nursery lawn.
The United Group is excited to participate and host future events to bring more business to the group and continue to educate industry professionals on the importance of recycling and sustainability.
