Seattle, Wash. – Today, The United Group announced the completion of the acquisition of K.T. Recycling, a container services company located in Seattle. The United Group is the recycling leader in the Puget Sound, with the highest diversion rates and seven divisions focused on construction-demolition and metal recycling, landscape material production and container services. Under the deal, K.T. Recycling will be known as K.T. Recycling & Container.

The merger will provide The United Group with an increased fleet of five trucks and 80 containers, a geographically larger extension of services and a loyal base of K.T. Recycling & Container clients. The United Group will continue to provide the same excellent service to customers who will now also have access to the other divisions’ services. With the construction boom in Western Washington and emphasis on green building practices, companies like The United Group need to expand to serve the growing demand.
